
Rules and Regulations
The Rules and Regulations of the Erode District Amateur Kabaddi Association (EDAKA) are framed in accordance with the official guidelines of the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI). All players, team officials and match officials are required to strictly follow both AKFI rules and the EDAKA regulations to ensure fair play, discipline and safety in every tournament.
All tournaments conducted under this association shall follow AKFI / State Kabaddi Association rules unless otherwise specified.
Decisions made by the Match Officials and Tournament Committee are final and binding.
Players, coaches, and officials must maintain discipline and sportsmanship at all times.
Players must be registered members of Erode District Amateur Kabaddi Association.
Age criteria shall be followed as per tournament category (Junior / Sub-Junior / Senior).
A player can represent only one team in a tournament.
Any form of fake age or identity will lead to immediate disqualification.
Match duration shall be as per official kabaddi rules for the respective category.
Substitutions are allowed only during official time-outs or half-time.
Teams must report at the court 30 minutes before match time.
Late arrival beyond the allowed time may result in walkover.
Points will be awarded based on win, loss, tie, or bonus points as per tournament format.
League and knockout rules will be announced before the tournament begins.
In case of tie-breakers, rules defined by the organizing committee will apply.
All players must wear proper sports attire with team jerseys.
Jersey numbers must be clearly visible.
Use of metal accessories, watches, or sharp objects is strictly prohibited.
Shoes (if allowed) must comply with court regulations.
Misconduct, abusive language, or violence will result in immediate disciplinary action.
Teams are responsible for the behavior of their players and support staff.
Repeated violations may lead to suspension or ban from future tournaments.
Only authorized referees and officials appointed by the association can officiate matches.
No team official or player is allowed to argue or interfere with referees.
Protests, if any, must be submitted in writing within the stipulated time.
